-BI FRIENDLY

Bi Minnesota logo

It's hard finding businesses that are all about bisexuals.  No, check that: it's impossible.  It seems the best we can hope is for there to be some businesses that think about us on occasion and maybe support us in words and perhaps even actions.

A great place to find local GLBT friendly businesses is at the Outfront Minnesota's web site.

Here are some java places of note for bi folks.

The Blue Moon, 3822 East Lake Street, Minneapolis

This has been something of a hangout for bi women since it opened.

The Second Moon

Spin-off from the Blue Moon, it kept the bi friendly atmosphere.

Vera's, 2903 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis

THE place for men to cruise as if it were a bar at midnight.  Check out the patio.

The Smitten Kitten, 3010 Lyndale Ave. S.Minneapolis

This is an incredible business that it exists at all. Not that it shouldn't; indeed we think every neighborhood needs a Smitten Kitten.  It's a sex toy business catering strictly to women.  We really have to support that!

Amazon Bookstore, 4432 Chicago Ave., Minneapolis

This feminist bookstore has been an institution for many years in it's old location facing Loring Park and now on South Chicago Ave.  They've always had a great selection of bi titles, and as a collective, they really need the community's support to stay around.

Query Books, 2901 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis

This great little bookstore just moved in next to Vera's in the Lyndale and Lake neighborhood.  support your local small bookstore!

Rainbow Road, 109 W Grant St., Minneapolis

Gifts, Novelties, videos; every cities has or needs a business like this.  Where else do you find greeting cards with naked people on them?  not at Hallmark; we've looked.  And, get this: We were in there not too long ago, and low and behold, they were selling bi flag bumper stickers.  Can you believe it?
